It was ok. The food was good but the prices were not. I realize it fresh seafood but I've had same quality of dishes for a little more reasonable prices. You'd think for 24$ for baked scallops they would being you more than a bucket with only 2 dinner rolls from shaws in it with some packaged butter. Server also talked about things that weren't on the menu which made ordering very confusing. My husband ended up getting something spicy which is not what he wanted.
This is the type of place I would gladly bring out-of-town guests, like my parents, for a casual dinner.
From PA and when visiting relatives I have the largest lobster roll everyday!!! I long all year for Joe Fish's lobster roll!!!!!! Highly recommended.
The norm is pretty solid food. Glad I gave it another shot after I ordered the lobster roll and it was clearly from a frozen can and not fresh. Can’t pull a rookie move at a Massachusetts Fish house like frozen lobster meat. This isn’t Iowa! We know what fresh vs frozen tastes like. Other than that bad experience, the overall food and atmosphere is pretty enjoyable, the big Bloody Mary with a jumbo shrimp is fantastic, any grilled fish is perfectly prepared, clam chowdah is very good and the fried or baked trio of shrimp, scallops and haddock are both great entrees. 4/5 stars overall for a seafood place not located in Boston or Essex, Ma.
Way better than Legal Seafood. Everything we got was delicious, from a steamed mussels appetizer to various pies for dessert. The wait staff was pleasant and efficient, and the chef came out to greet our table. The atmosphere was light and airy.
Best fried clams dinner I have had in a long time. Will be eating there again on my next visit to New England.
